07 Jan Marin County Real Estate Update: Super Duper Low Inventory
The DuPont Group & Decker Bullock Sotheby’s calculates weekly inventory levels and in-contract percentages for each town in Marin, as well as total Marin County. When we ran numbers this morning I was shocked to find only 307 properties (single family and common interest combined) currently on the market in all of Marin. We are starting 2017 with only 307 properties on the market, of which 126 (41%) are under contract.
The average January has 647 homes for sale of which 37% are in contract. So less than half the average January inventory levels of the last 12 years with slightly more homes than normal in contract.
