Greenbrae is an unincorporated town in Marin County and can be thought of as the middle sibling of Kentfield and Larkspur.  Because it is unincorporated, all of Greenbrae’s civic services are located in and provided by either Larkspur or by Marin County. The bulk of homes are located on the hill to the north of the Bon Air Shopping Center. Greenbrae is a fairly small area west of 101 and has the largest relative concentration of condominiums and apartments to rent.

Greenbrae is a small residential community with great views sandwiched between Larkspur, Kentfield and San Rafael. Among Greenbrae’s many attributes are nice homes, wooded neighborhoods and good schools. Many of the homes have views of Mt. Tamalpais, San Francisco Bay, Corte Madera Creek and the surrounding lowlands. Its proximity to both Highway 101 and the Larkspur Ferry make Greenbrae an easy commute to San Francisco.

Greenbrae has one main park and several nearby hiking and biking trails, and is within 10 minutes or so from all Marin County has to offer including shops, restaurants and movie theaters in the surrounding towns.

The Bon Air Shopping Center is a great resource for Kentfield, Ross, Greenbrae and beyond. (http://www.bonair.com). Additionally, the Corte Madera Malls (The “Village at Corte Madera” and “The Town Center”) are both very close to Greenbrae, as is Marin County Mart at Larkspur Landing.
